Amsterdam, June 2024 – Amie Technologies, a startup focused on improving palliative care, has successfully completed a feasibility study on integrating intelligent algorithms into its Pal app. The Pal platform is designed to help both professional and family caregivers by making it easier to collaborate, access important information quickly, and track and communicate symptoms in palliative care. The study was made possible through funding provided by the Province of North-Holland.

The study explored whether advanced algorithms could be added to the Pal platform to monitor palliative care patients at home. The aim was to see if these algorithms could analyze logged data to automatically detect symptoms and assess the risk of complications, helping doctors intervene earlier and improve the quality of life for patients.

Based on the study findings, Amie Technologies has decided to move ahead with developing and implementing the algorithms in the Pal platform. This decision is based on a solid understanding of the risks and the potential benefits these algorithms could bring to palliative care.

Next steps include finding the right partners to collaborate with, creating a detailed project plan, and securing additional funding to continue developing the platform. With the groundwork laid by this study, Amie Technologies is ready to take the next steps in enhancing palliative care with cutting-edge technology.
